I designed this abstract collage series to support a project by the College of Natural Sciences called "Science of the 40 Acres", in which they did a deep dive into the history of each science building on the UT campus (nicknamed "The 40 Acres") and what research is being done there now.
Each abstract collage contains some elements that are distinguishing physical features of the building (clock, iron gate, bricks, etc) and other elements that represent the field of science being studied in that building.
A defining icon was pulled from each collage, to represent the building in the navigation bar of the website.
These visual elements came together to create a vibrant and engaging experience for what could have been a dull subject matter without the right design to support it, descriptions of campus buildings.
